On December 13, 2022, the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) Council held a regular meeting chaired by the State Secretary — Deputy Governor of Bank of Russia Alexey Guznov.
Council members considered six items on the agenda relating to the activities of the Financial Ombudsman Service.
Thus, the attendees supported amendments to the Regulations on the FOS Council, chose an audit company to audit the financial statements of the Ombudsman for financial services consumers support Service (OFSC) for 2022, as well as the audit of the use of the OFSC Fund for financing the FOS activities in 2022.
The budget of income and expenditure of the OFSC for 2023 was approved during the meeting, as well as considered were the report of internal audit in the 3rd quarter of 2022 and the plan for internal audit in the 1st quarter of 2023.
The members of the Council also decided to establish two committees under the FOS Council – on budget and remuneration, and on audit. The personal composition of the committees will be determined at one of the next meetings of the FOS Council.
