The Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) is inviting all to take part in the 7th All-Russian online competition on financial literacy. Some tasks of the online test have been prepared with the assistance of the Financial Ombudsman Service and relate to the protection of the rights of financial services consumers. The test is hosted by the Bank of Russia.
The annual All-Russian Online Financial Literacy Test will be held from 8 to 29 October 2024. The contestants will be tested on how well they understand financial issues and will receive recommendations to help them fill in the gaps in their knowledge. Successful participants are to receive personalised certificates. The test can be taken by individuals or by the whole family. The number and complexity of tasks depend on the participant’s age. The tasks prepared are based on real-life situations and help to learn how to make rational financial decisions. And for those who are confident in their knowledge, there is an advanced level of complexity. For primary school children there are exciting interactive tasks that will introduce basic concepts of financial literacy in a playful way.
An Olympiad test will be held for pupils of 7-11 grades from 15 to 17 October. Those who successfully pass it will be able to enter the finals of the All-Russian Olympiad “Higher Trial” of the Higher School of Economics National Research University on the profile of “Financial Literacy” without any additional tests. The winners of the Olympiad will enjoy preferential admission to universities. It will take no more than 20 minutes to pass the personal test, no more than 40 minutes to pass the Olympiad test, and no more than 1 hour to pass the family test. The number of attempts is not limited.
