Monday - Friday from 8:00 to 20:00 (Moscow time), except public holidays, free call from regions of RussiaChief Financial Ombudsman Yury Voronin and Governor of the Ulyanovsk Region Alexey Russkikh signed an agreement on cooperation. The signing ceremony was held on 21 September 2022.
The agreement was signed to create conditions to improve the level of legal and financial literacy of the Ulyanovsk Region residents, as well as to inform the Ulyanovsk Region population about the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) activities. The parties agreed to unite available resources – organizational, legal, informational, methodological and technological – to implement the agreement, including those on rendering free legal assistance to citizens and legal education to residents of the Ulyanovsk Region.
“This document is a “pilot” agreement of the Financial Ombudsman Service with the executive authorities of the region. It stipulates an extensive programme of activities for 2022–23, and we are glad to start our federal programme of active cooperation with the executive power of the subjects of the Federation here, in Ulyanovsk,” Yury Voronin said.
It is planned to conduct an information and education campaign on the FOS activities for residents of the Ulyanovsk Region, including by informing the Ulyanovsk Region population about the algorithms of actions aimed at protecting their rights.
A significant increase is expected in the number of information materials, publications and reports in the Ulyanovsk Region’s mass media on protection of rights and lawful interests of citizens in the financial sphere.
As part of the agreement, work will also be strengthened to provide free legal assistance to the Ulyanovsk Region population when disputes arise with financial institutions by expanding the competence of law offices and legal clinics in the region.
“I am convinced that the implementation of these measures will ensure timely protection of the rights of the Ulyanovsk Region residents when disputes arise with financial institutions,” Yury Voronin added.
