On 13 December 2024, the Bank of Russia Board of Directors decided to appoint Evgeny Leonidovich Pisarevsky to the position of Financial Ombudsman for the rights of consumers of financial services in the areas of insurance, microfinance, credit co-operation and activities of credit institutions.
The news was reported by the press service of the Bank of Russia.
According to the Federal law of June 4, 2018 No. 123-FZ “On the Ombudsman for the Rights of Consumers of Financial Services”, the financial ombudsman is appointed by the Bank of Russia Board of Directors on the proposal of the Chief Financial Ombudsman for a period of five years. Evgeny Pisarevsky previously held the position of a financial ombudsman from 9 September 2019 to 25 June 2021.
