The Ombudsman for financial services consumers support Service (OFSC) signs a cooperation agreement with Saratov National Research University

The Ombudsman for financial services consumers support Service (OFSC) and Saratov National Research State University named after N.G. Chernyshevsky signed a cooperation agreement.

Head of the OFSC Olga Kraynova and Rector of Saratov National University Alexey Chumachenko signed the agreement, the event took place on the university premises on the 26th of March.

The agreement provides for cooperation in education and science, aimed at meeting the needs of the OFSC in training and upgrading their staff’s skills. The agreement will enable the organization of internships and work placements for students at the OFSC, the introduction of new technologies, scientific developments, intensification of the students’ and university staff’s research work.

«The Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) is a young developing organisation which has a need for highly qualified personnel. I hope this agreement will form the basis for students to gain theoretical and practical knowledge of our areas of work and then give them opportunities to pursue successful careers in our organisation. This is the path we have taken in Nizhny Novgorod, and several graduates from the local university are already employed by our branch there. In our turn, for almost two years of work we have accumulated extensive materials that may form the basis of training, scientific activities of the university, and the creation of special programmes for students,» Olga Kraynova said.

According to her, the signing of the agreement is part of the Ombudsman for financial services consumers support Service programme aimed at expanding cooperation with specialized higher law schools in Russia. The OFSC cooperates with Kutafin Moscow State Law University, Saratov State Law Academy, Lobachevsky National Research University of Nizhny Novgorod.
