Chief Financial Ombudsman Yury Voronin took part in the Fifth Financial and Legal Forum 2024.5 “Providing legal support for the sustainability of the financial system amidst the development of innovative economy”. The event was timed to the first in Russia university Chair of Financial Law’s 30th anniversary and was held at the Moscow State Law University named after O.E. Kutafin. The Forum was attended by representatives of all academic schools of financial law in Russia.
Yury Voronin made a speech within the panel discussion on “Sustainability of the Russian financial system under current conditions: topical legal issues".
The Chief Financial Ombudsman spoke about the role of the Financial Ombudsman Service in the framework of ensuring the country’s financial sustainability, namely about the efficient system of protection of the rights of consumers of financial services that has been established in the country.
The discussion was attended by Roman Artyukhin, Head of the Russian Federal Treasury, Alexei Guznov, State Secretary, Deputy Chairman of the Bank of Russia, Andrei Melnikov, Director General of the State Corporation “Deposit Insurance Agency”, and Sergei Shvetsov, Head of the Supervisory Board of the Moscow Exchange.
