Chief Financial Ombudsman Yury Voronin nominated Tatyana Savitskaya for the position of Financial Ombudsman in the areas of credit cooperation, activities of credit organisations, pawnshops and non-governmental pension funds for consideration by the Bank of Russia Board of Directors.
According to Yury Voronin, at its meeting on 24 December the Bank of Russia Board of Directors supported Tatyana Savitskaya’s candidacy who is to take up her duties as from January 1, 2021.
Prior to her appointment as Financial Ombudsman, Tatyana Savitskaya was employed in the Office of the Russian Government, where, among other things, she dealt with the issues of non-state pension provision and non-state pension funds. Prior to that, she had held posts at the Ministry of Health and Social Development of Russia, the Russian Presidential Administration, and the Audit Chamber of Russia.
Tatiana Savitskaya is an All-Union Correspondence Law Institute graduate. She was awarded the honorary title of «Honoured State Lawyer» by the President of Russia’s Decree No. 705 of 28.05.2012 and has a rank of a second-class full-time counsellor of Russia.
Besides, the Bank of Russia Board of Directors decided at the last meeting to extend Viktor Klimov’s powers, the current Financial Ombudsman for insurance, who is also to consider disputes in the field of credit cooperation, activities of credit organisations, pawnshops and non-governmental pension funds as from January 1, 2021.
