According to the Federal Law of June 4, 2018 No. 123-FZ “On the Ombudsman for the Rights of Consumers of Financial Services” the Chief Financial Ombudsman is appointed by the Bank of Russia Board of Directors upon recommendation of the Chairman of the Bank of Russia, in coordination with the President of Russia.
Yury Voronin was first appointed to the position of Chief Financial Ombudsman on September 3, 2018.
