On Tuesday, October 5th, a session of the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) Council took place in the form of a video conference.
By the decision of the FOS Council the changes in the organizational structure of the Ombudsman for financial services consumers support Service (OFSC) were approved, as the number of financial institutions covered by the Federal Law “On the Ombudsman for the Rights of Consumers of Financial Services” has expanded since January 1, 2021, and in order to increase the efficiency of processes on consideration of appeals from consumers of financial services.
The FOS Council also approved the extension of the Financial Ombudsman Service’s membership in the International Network of Financial Services Ombudsman Schemes (INFO Network).
The decision was taken to establish a working group on consideration of issues of financing of medium-term IT-projects of the OFSC.
The report on carrying out of internal audit in the 2nd quarter of 2021 was also considered, and the plan of internal audit in the 4th quarter of 2021 was approved.
