Training webinar for the Deposit Insurance Agency employees held by the Ombudsman for financial services consumers support Service

Representatives of the Ombudsman for financial services consumers support Service (OFSC) told employees of the “Deposit Insurance Agency” State Corporation (DIA) about the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) scheme and the mandatory out-of-court dispute resolution procedure. The event was held as a training webinar.

During the training the OFSC staff provided explanations on how an appeal to the Financial Ombudsman can be submitted, gave practical examples of disputes considered by the Financial Ombudsman, as well as pointed out important aspects of interaction between the Financial Ombudsman and consumers.

In addition, recommendations were given on what consumers should do if their rights have been violated. The webinar participants were also informed about the FOS services for convenient and prompt interaction with citizens.

The class in financial education, which was attended by more than 150 employees of the Deposit Insurance Agency, was arranged under the agreement on interaction between the FOS and the DIA signed in November 2024.

The document signed by Chief Financial Ombudsman Yury Voronin and DIA Director General Andrey Melnikov is aimed at improving the efficiency of protecting the rights of consumers of financial services.
