Monday - Friday from 8:00 to 20:00 (Moscow time), except public holidays, free call from regions of RussiaChief Financial Ombudsman Yury Voronin and Governor of the Oryol Region Andrei Klychkov have signed a cooperation agreement.
The agreement was concluded in order to provide favourable conditions for increasing the level of legal and financial literacy of the residents of the Oryol region, as well as informing the local population on the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) activities.
The parties agreed to unite available resources – organizational, legal, informational, methodical and technological, including those on rendering free legal assistance to citizens and legal education for residents of the Oryol region – in order to implement the agreement.
“This is our second agreement with the regional authorities, which will serve as an opportunity to share the positive practice of informing citizens about this type of free-of-charge assistance organized by the state, such as the Institution of Financial Ombudsman. The agreement provides for an extensive programme of activities for the years 2023-2025,” Yury Voronin remarked.
An information and education campaign on the FOS activities is expected to be launched for residents of the Oryol region. Citizens will have an opportunity to receive exhaustive consultations on filing appeals to the Financial Ombudsman, on the sequence of steps aimed at protection of their rights.
A significant increase in the number of information materials, press releases and announcements in the Oryol regional media on the protection of rights and legitimate interests of citizens in the financial sector is also expected.
As part of the agreement, efforts will also be made to improve financial literacy of the population, and residents will have access to free legal assistance in the event of disputes with financial institutions.
