Monday - Friday from 8:00 to 20:00 (Moscow time), except public holidays, free call from regions of RussiaAutonomous non-profit organization “Ombudsman for financial services consumers support Service (OFSC)” and the University of the Federal Penitentiary Service in St. Petersburg have made a co-operation agreement. The document was signed by the head of the Olga Kraynova and the University head Alexander Votinov.
The agreement outlines the forms and directions of mutual co-operation between the OFSC and the educational institution. According to the agreement, the parties will be entitled to hold mutual consultations in the field of protection of the rights of consumers of financial services, to carry out lectures and workshops with the students of the university’s legal clinic, to take part in joint educational events.
“The signed agreement is to facilitate the dissemination of the most effective methods of providing citizens with qualified legal assistance in the relevant areas. Ensuring the legal rights of citizens can be successfully resolved only through close and productive co-operation of all the parties concerned. The OFSC has extensive practical experience in a totally new sphere – out-of-court dispute resolution between consumers of financial services and financial institutions. And the capacities of the educational institution will help to generalize this knowledge and do research together,” Olga Kraynova, head of the OFSC, commented.
According to her, the signing of the document is part of the Service’s programme to expand co-operation with higher law schools in Russia. Earlier agreements were concluded with Moscow Law University named after O.E. Kutafin, Saratov Law Academy, Nizhny Novgorod National Research University named after N.I. Lobachevsky, Saratov National Research University named after N.G. Chernyshevsky, and St. Petersburg University of Economics.
