The Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) Expert Council is a collegial advisory and deliberative body, whose tasks include providing recommendations and guidelines in the field of the Financial Ombudsmen activities and protection of the rights of consumers of financial services.
In performing its functions, the FOS Expert Council:
discusses topical issues of the Financial Ombudsmen activities;
examines the Financial Ombudsman’s practice, prepares recommendations on appeals consideration and clarifies issues arising in the course of their consideration, as well as on generalisation of the appeals consideration practice;
reviews draft legal acts related to the Financial Ombudsmen activities;
